Why is he so insecure?
Michael Cohen, an alumnus of Town School for Boys and Lick-Wilmerding High School, is a San Francisco-based Investment Director with SAIC Capital. He's a Corporate Venture Capital Executive with anger management issues and an extensive background in Venture Capital, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Investment Management. Michael struggles with maintaining his composure and accepting blame for his actions.
While I was crossing Lake Street (a designated slow street with barriers and speed bumps) in the crosswalk, Michael breezed through a stop sign, coming to a halt to avoid hitting me. I stopped where I was and pointed to the stop sign. Without pause, he comically began swearing at me and gesturing for me to get out of his way. I repeated that he should stop at stop signs, at which point he lunged his car at me, threatening to run me over. That's when I took my phone out and started filming him.
As he drove past me, he said, "Fuck you" and smacked my hand, knocking my phone to the ground and cracking the screen. There probably isn't much consensual touching in his life, so he has to resort to hitting strangers just to feel the touch of another person.
As he sped away in fear of retaliation, I hit his car. Then he stopped halfway down the block, actually got out of his car, leaving the door wide open in the middle of the road (like a very well-balanced and mature person), and walked back to where I was. He threatened me with physical violence, tried to smack the phone out of my hand again, and missed 🤣. Unwilling to follow through on his empty threats, and realizing I wasn't intimidated by his bigboy muscles, he began walking back to his car, and I began filming again.
This is how Michael Cohen—a grown man who's been alive for over 50 years and has a family— behaves in public when he knows he's being filmed—a total cliché of a bully. All because he got called out for blowing through a stop sign. He seems super cool and tough and not at all wildly insecure.
His bio describes him as having significant experience in fundraising and business development, and management of relationships with investors and companies, but neglects to mention anything about his struggles with emotional control, and an inability to simply apologize. Michael was previously the Managing Principal for Global Crossing Ventures, the founder of Advanced Data Centers, and the founder of Industry Ventures Acquisition Fund. He's also been involved in several other companies you've never heard of.
Michael has an MS in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Connecticut College. He was not expelled from either of these schools despite his personality.
Hilariously, Michael opposed the closing of JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park because he said "Closing our roads creates... dangerous driving conditions by pushing vehicles (with frustrated drivers) to use alternative routes..." OMG this guy is a complete joke.
